MotoGP world champion Jorge Lorenzo is ranked third as an end to formal exercises inaugural MotoGP at Sepang, Malaysia, Thursday (02/03/2011). Yamaha rider was behind the Honda duo, Marco Simoncelli (Gresini Honda) and Casey Stoner (Repsol Honda).

Although the factory team rider is only 0.088 seconds adrift of Simoncelli, and of course paketan M1 for the 2011 season still showed his ability as a championship team, but Lorenzo worry. The Spaniard was "scared" with Honda performance shown.
There is a strong reason for Lorenzo to be alarmed. Because the former double world champion 250cc class is not only set a target to maintain the crown champions, but also determined to repeat the fantastic feat he achieved last season, which is nine times won the race.
"I feel good about my driving, and motor also has less change, but we still need to improve on some things the same as last year, namely on the rear traction and the engine," said Lorenzo.
"The high speed on the engine is good, but we need an additional acceleration of the teeth of two and three.
"Everyone wants a better bike. That's normal," he said. "We currently have a winning bike, but I want to win the race the same number as last year and of course it is difficult for now.
"The problem is, that Honda might be able to solve their problems, so now they are very fast in braking, high speed corner and the full acceleration. They can take advantage of the engine.
"We've done repairs on nearly everything, but I think we need some more work to repeat last year's results. The competition is really tough right now."
Apart from the Honda team's improved performance, specifically Lorenzo also gave praise to Simoncelli. According to him, the Italian rider has changed a lot compared to when making his debut in the premier class last season.
"Simoncelli has changed," he said of the San Carlo Honda Gresini rider is. "Honda rider is already better than last year, and then he's even faster than Dani (Pedrosa) and Casey (Stoner), so he must race with a very, very good."
Lorenzo and teammate, Ben Spies, will use the same engine specifications for continued development, in the 2011 season. They will try again in a second official practice at Sepang.
